Bio

Sean Haworth is the son of Academy Award winning Production Designer Edward “Ted” Haworth and Anna Wakhévitch, daughter of French Art Director George Wakhévitch,

Sean was born in Los Angeles and raised in the South France until moving permanently to Los Angeles to pursue film design, getting the proverbial “foot in the door” as an art assistant and slowly progressing, first from a junior Set Designer then on to a senior set designer, eventually getting the opportunity of becoming an asst. Art Director under famed Production Designer Dean Tavoularis.

After a number of fortunate years of apprenticeship under Designers such as Bo Welch and Ken Adam, he eventually got promoted to Art Director on Tim Burton’s Planet of the Apes by award winning Designer Rick Heinricks.

Having practiced the traditional, non-digital techniques of art direction and now successfully engaged in the new era of the digital design, Sean has had the unique opportunity to bridge these two distinct worlds and has helped in contributing to unique film projects such as James Cameron’s upcoming project Avatar and Michael Bay’s Transformers 1 & 2.

He is currently finishing production on the movie adaptation of the book Ender's Game.
